Renegade, Renaissance, Radiance and Rosebud are heading for the White House, where Renaissance plans to add African-American flavour to the 132-room mansion. Radiance and Rosebud will have a sock-skating ramp, cinema (with popcorn) and personal chef. Renegade will have his specially built basketball court.
This is part of what lies ahead for the four Rs - the codenames given to the Obama family by the US Secret Service - as the future First Family becomes the world’s most protected foursome.

Barack will be the most-guarded person on the planet. He’ll no longer be able to go to the toilet alone and wherever he travels 12 identical cars will tag along so potential assassins won’t know which one he’s in.
If he has a drink outside the White House his glass will be destroyed so no one has access to the presidential DNA and he’ll be given two panic buttons - one for his pocket, one for his bedside table - in case he needs his bodyguards.
Michelle will also have her personal guards and Secret Service agents will stay close when Malia (Radiance) and Sasha (Rosebud) attend school to prevent kidnap attempts.
The family’s days of popping into burger or pizza joints are over - but they’ll have 25 chefs on hand at all times. “The chefs and butlers are in tune with the family,” a White House source says. “If a day hasn’t gone quite right they’ll make sure everyone’s favourite dessert is served that night.”
The girls will be the youngest children to occupy the White House since nine-year-old Amy Carter, former president Jimmy Carter’s daughter, lived there in the ’70s. They have to give up a lot: their private Chicago school, friends, ballet classes and soccer teams they were part of, girlie sleepovers (security rules don’t welcome White House sleepovers) and their bedrooms in their plush Chicago home.
But they look forward to decorating their new bedrooms and there will be enough to keep them occupied in the mansion on Pennsylvania Avenue. There’s a pastry shop, a swimming pool, bowling alley, tennis court, cinema and a polished wooden ramp for sock-skating.
